Hyperlite State 2.0 Men's Wakeboard: Asymmetrical Design for Riders of All Levels

Hyperlite's goal in designing the State 2.0 wakeboard was to create a shape that would take riders' skills to the next level. Drawing insights from other asymmetrical designs, the team found that a shorter but more effective toe-side edge makes hard-to-learn wake jumps significantly easier. This is because there is less rail to initiate when applying toe-side pressure.

Once the toe-side edge is engaged, the State 2.0's thinner profile molded-in fins provide a smoother transition and better release off the top of the wake, creating less drag. Subtle molded-in toe-side footbed risers were also added to give riders more leverage when applying pressure.

Complementing the asymmetrical toe-side design, the longer, more traditional heel-side edge allows riders to generate stability and speed into the wake without losing pop due to reduced surface area. This combination of design elements has made the State 2.0 an ideal choice for riders looking to master the fundamentals of wakeboarding.

Abrupt Continuous Rocker for Added Pop

The State 2.0's rocker line features a slightly exaggerated tip and tail rocker, adding a little more kick to the board's speed without sacrificing the ability to carry that speed into the wake. This Abrupt Continuous rocker profile creates added pop for riders.

Durable Monocoque Construction

Hyperlite's monocoque construction integrates the top and bottom fiberglass layers into a single, more durable unit. This helps prevent delamination and protects the board from side impacts.

Layered Glass for Consistent Performance

Hyperlite uses layered fiberglass in its boards, available in three different weights depending on the model. Unlike traditional woven glass fibers that can separate over time, the layered glass ensures each Hyperlite deck maintains the same consistent pop off the double-up, year after year.
